Vehicle Activated Signs

12.00.00am GMT Mon 23rd Mar 2009

Rebecca Elton, Derek Kennedy and Judy Lloyd campaign for safer roads

Following concerns from residents, your Councillors are close to getting a new series of vehicle activated signs implemented in Hexham. Around £12,000 has been contributed toward the new signs from the Councillors improvement scheme.

The signs will be located on Causey Hill, Allendale Road and the West Road. The idea is to educate drivers that they need to stay within the 30mph limit as this is a busy area with lots of school children, cyclists and pedestrians.
